Genuine Pietersite Sterling Silver Earrings
Genuine Pietersite set in Sterling Silver Post Earrings. Created by Navajo Artist Burt Francisco. Signed by the artist.
Pietersite is a stone aggregate made up of hawk's eye and tiger's eye. It was originally discovered by Sid Peters in 1962 in Namibia on the African continent. In 1993, a similar stone was discovered in the Hunan Province of China. Production from both of these mines is limited so the stone can be difficult to find.
Pietersite colors include blues, rusty reds, golds and browns. It is also known as Tempest Stone and Eagle's Eye.

Beautiful earrings. The stone has great color. I appreciate that they are made well but are not too heavy for my ears.
