Kingman Turquoise Native American Ring
Genuine Kingman Turquoise set in Sterling Silver Ring. Created by Santo Domingo Artist Raymond Coriz. Signed by the artist. The Mineral Park Mine, in the Cerbat Mountains 14 miles northwest of Kingman, was first mined by Indians centuries before white man came to the area. It is one of the three sites of prehistoric mining localities in the state of Arizona. Mineral Park was the most extensively worked area by the Indians of the three. S.A. "Chuck" Colbaugh found a cache of stone hammers uncovered in ancient trenches and tunnels, when he had the turquoise mining concession in May of 1962. Ithaca Peak and Turquoise Mine (formally called Aztec Mountain or Aztec Peak) are the most famous of the peaks in the area containing turquoise.

I have often admired Calvin Begay's artistry while perusing Treasures of the Southwest's online catalogs, but this is the first piece that "spoke" to me in an irresistible way. Upon its arrival, I was even more enchanted, especially with the subtle sparkling emitted by some of its embedded elements, which is impossible to capture in a photo.

I have 4 pieces of her jewelry, 2 rings, a pair of earrings and now this pendant. Each piece is solid sterling silver, no stones. They are all well made and beautiful. I would definitely recommend her jewelry.

I love my new Dogwood pendant. I am a fan of Artie Yellowhorse. I have many pieces of hers.

Gorgeous pendant/necklace. Valentine's Day gift for my wife of 51+ years.
She loves it and it perfectly matches a ring I previously gave her a while ago.

I first learned of Calvin Begay during a c bc action in Arizona in 2017. I greatly admire his work and purchased a ring he designed it that time. I have been looking for a Calvin Begay pendant ever since and just purchased bear pendant. I love the artistry and quality.
