Beautiful Necklace featuring Genuine Blue Lapis Heishi with Sterling Silver Beads and Clasp. The work that goes into this necklace is amazing! Each bead is hand cut and rolled. Created by Santo Domingo Artist Lester Abeyta. The Santo Domingo Pueblo is in New Mexico, near Santa Fe. Lester Abeyta (Santo Domingo Pueblo) won first place in the Jewelry/Lapidary category at the IACA 2011 artist of the year awards. Lester is well known for his traditional stone and shell jewelry. His work is a reflection of the ancient techniques and styles of the Santo Domingo People, yet is fashionable in today's contemporary world. His parents, Richard and Delia Abeyta, taught Lester from an early age both the traditional and contemporary methods of lapidary art. All of his jewelry is hand made from raw materials utilizing both lapidary techniques.

About a year ago I purchased a Calvin Begay Spiral pendant in which the craftsmanship and artistry simply amazed me. After the purchase of the pendant and in reviewing other items from Calvin I saw that I had missed these beautiful spiral earrings which were a match to the pendant. Well seemed only right to bring these treasures home to meet up with the pendant I had purchased some time back. When they arrived just incredible and glad they had found their way home. I am truly amazed at the detail of these Starry Night in the Pueblo Earrings. I was looking for a pair of earrings to create a set to go along with my purchase of the night sky design bear pendant purchased. What a match and excited of how they go together. The jewelry from these artisans are spectacular and always arrive as described and pictured. Fast shipping and always excited about their arrival.
