Stunning Pendant and Necklace Set featuring Genuine Crow Springs Turquoise set in Sterling Silver Pendant. 24" long, Sterling Silver Navajo Pearls Necklace. Created by Navajo Artist John Nelson and Vangie Touchine. Signed by the artists. The Crow Springs Mine is located near Tonopah, Nevada. The Crow Springs Turquoise Mine was closed for many years. It recently was opened by Dennis and Lucy Cordova. The Smith family previously owned the mine. This family had been mining turquoise in Nevada since the 1870's. In 1909, William Petry discovered a deposit one mile southwest of the Crow Springs claim. In 1939, Ann Cooper Hewitt, heiress to the Cooper Hewitt fortune, made from inventing the mercury-vapor lamp and the first fluorescent lighting, filed claim to the mine and built a home there, which she called AnnJax. She did little work on the property and subsequently abandoned it.

About a year ago I purchased a Calvin Begay Spiral pendant in which the craftsmanship and artistry simply amazed me. After the purchase of the pendant and in reviewing other items from Calvin I saw that I had missed these beautiful spiral earrings which were a match to the pendant. Well seemed only right to bring these treasures home to meet up with the pendant I had purchased some time back. When they arrived just incredible and glad they had found their way home. What great wearable art form these artisans. Thank you!

I am truly amazed at the detail of these Starry Night in the Pueblo Earrings. I was looking for a pair of earrings to create a set to go along with my purchase of the night sky design bear pendant purchased. What a match and excited of how they go together.
